A private kite & sail charter makes this dream come true. With a private charter, you’ll have the entire ship, including the skipper as a fixed group all to yourself. Due to this exclusivity, the individual service can be expanded and we can take care of your own personal wishes even better.

You are a smaller group and don't want to charter the whole ship, but just rent one or two cabins? Then the cabin charter in the Caribbean is just right for you.

These sailing trips offer many options, of which can be added just as needed. It’s totally left up to you to decide, whether there should be other crew on board in addition to the skipper. A cook, a hostess or even childcare, can be implemented on a private charter in the Caribbean. If you have kite beginners with you, or aren’t very experienced kiters, we would recommend you to have a kite instructor on board. He will be by your side helping you and giving you advice, during all kite sessions and if necessary, you can also do a 1 to 1 kite training by him using the dinghy. In addition, you’ll expand the choice of kite spots, as the kite instructor can show you how the kites can be launched and landed right from the ship. This allows you to kite at spots, where you normally won’t have any possibility to set up the kites on land.

Even the size and the equipment of the ship, can be adjusted according to your needs, while planing your trip.You let us know, what type and size of ship you want, or we can simply advise you. This way we’ll find just the right ship for your very own dream vacation. Whether you prefer a larger and luxurious ship with fewer cabins, or a smaller ship with lots of cabins to keep the price down, there are many options here.

Planning the itinerary

Together with experienced skippers, you can determine the route of your kite cruise. This can therefore be adapted according to your wishes and most important, to the weather forecast. You can decide for yourself, whether you prefer to take it easy and stay in one spot for a longer period of time, or sail around to see as many different spots as possible. One-way trips are also a possible option. Here you can get to know many different areas, without having to invest the sailing time during the return of the trip.

Catering

If you have a cook or a hostess on board, they will take care of the planning and ordering of the food, the errands and the breakfast during the trip, after having consulted you. If you have chosen half-board, a small meal will be prepared for you on board, in addition to the breakfast. You can choose wether to have lunch or dinner, in a restaurant ashore. With full board, both lunch and dinner will be prepared for you on board.

Ship type

Sailing Yacht or catamaran? In most cases, a catamaran is the better choice for a Kite & Sail tour. Thanks to the low draft, shallower bays can be approached and the two hulls inherit a lot of space and give the ship more stability, while at anchor. This also has a positive effect on launching the kites from the ship. In crowded regions, where there is a lot of anchoring, the larger catamarans also have the advantage, that they are almost self-sufficient with water makers and generators and therefore there is no need to change the route, for having to reach any ports.

Selecting the ship size

The size of the ship is mainly determined by two factors:

1: How many sleeping possibilities are required

2: How big your budget is

The cost for the ships vary greatly, depending on the area selected and the sailing season. Additionally, the price also depends on the equipment, the age and the condition of the ship. In the following we would like to give you a first impression, of the weekly prices for ships in the Caribbean. The prices mentioned are average prices. It is to be assumed, that there will be a deviation in the prices, due to specific inquiries!

Catamaran: (low season (LS) / high season (HS))

4 cabins (max. 6-8 guests, plus crew): LS: €3300 / HS: €6800

5 cabins (max. 9-10 guests, plus crew): NS: €5000 / HS: €8000

6 cabins (max. 12 guests, plus crew): LS: €7500 / HS: €12,500

Additional Costs

All costs for any extras that have been booked are added on top of this price. A skipper usually costs between €180 and €220 per day. For other crew members such as the cook, hostess e.g. the prices vary between €140 and €180 per day.

All consumables of the ship, local fees and catering are charged according to the consumption. In the Caribbean, you should calculate with approximately 30-50 euros per person a day.
