Dream sailing trip in the Caribbean

The one-week all-inclusive catamaran sailing trip takes you to the paradisiacal sea area around Guadeloupe. Together with an experienced skipper, you will sail along the Cousteau Marine Reserve to the diverse and beautiful beaches, bays and islands. In addition to the Les Saintes archipelago, the sights include Marie-Galante, Pigeon Island and Dominica. Along this route, colourful underwater worlds and varied shore excursions await you.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Pointe-à-Pitre

Pointe-à-Pitre is the largest town on Grande-Terre. Here, the cruise starts at the Bas du Fort marina at around 18:00. After the welcome and checking into the cabins, we sail for 30 minutes along the southwest coast to the small island of Îlet du Gosier. This island is known for its quiet beaches and the many different snorkelling opportunities. There is also a sunken tugboat to discover in the magnificent underwater world. We spend the night here at anchor and the next morning begins with a relaxed breakfast.

Day 2 – Marie-Galante

After the anchor is lifted, we sail south and after about 2 hours we reach the "Island of 100 Windmills" - Marie-Galante. Here you can swim, snorkel or simply relax on the beach Anse Canot. The rum produced here is one of the best in the world. In the evening, you will anchor off the island and dine on board.

Optional*: three-hour bus trip to Marie Galante with a visit to the ruins of an old sugar factory, the large castle and museum as well as a manioc mill and rum distillery.

Day 3 – Dominica

On the third day, we sail about 4 hours southwest to the island nation of Dominica. Dominica is known for its natural tropical forests and hiking trails in Cabrits National Park. We dock in Portsmouth Harbour and enjoy lunch on board.

Optional*: Rowboat trip on the Indian River followed by a visit to the orchards.

Day 4 – Dominica

After breakfast, further exploration of the island is on the agenda.

Optional*: On a guided bus tour you will experience the North Road and the Amerindian Reserve Kalinago. After lunch in the Rule Forest, you will visit the famous Trafalgar Waterfalls. The way back to the ship leads through the capital Roseau.

Day 5 – Pigeon Island

After breakfast and about seven hours of sailing, we reach the west coast of Guadeloupe. On the way there we make a few stops at anchor and have lunch until finally the Cousteau Reserve is in front of us. The reserve is located opposite Pigeon Island and is known for tropical corals and a colourful variety of fish. Humpback whales and turtles can also be seen here.

Day 6 – Islands of the Saints (Les Saintes)

After a relaxing breakfast, you can go swimming, snorkelling or even diving from the boat via a local provider. Afterwards, a delicious lunch and a three-hour sailing trip to the Saintes archipelago await you. We moor at Pain de Sucre.

Day 7 – Islands of the Saints (Les Saintes)

After breakfast, we head for Terre de Haut Bay. Next to the uninhabited neighbouring island, it is the main island of the archipelago. When the anchor is in the sand, you can discover the beaches and the over- and underwater world.

Optional*: Visit the "Fort Napoleon" museum and walk to the top of the mountain.

After lunch on board you can relax. Afterwards, the approx. four-hour trip to the small island of Îlet du Gosier starts.

Day 8 – Pointe à Pitre

After a final breakfast, the journey ends at the Bas du Fort at 10:00.
